Goliath Hydro-Vac is one of a handful that perform hydro-vac services in the Twin Cities, which means branding and digital focus hadn’t been a priority in the past.
On top of that, positioning was tight with the market for their services being as small as it is. It was obvious they needed a strategy for expanding their reach and doing so in a manageable fashion.
So, how do you scale services effectively without spreading yourself too thin?
Understanding who needed to be reached was paramount. A combination of market research and interviews unearthed invaluable insights as to who the decision makers were in each market (broken down by region).
With the competition generally lacking in digital presence, we knew a conservative differentiation strategy had to be implemented.
